The Passolanciano ski area
Set on the Maiella massif in Abruzzo, Passolanciano forms part of the Passo Lanciano-Majelletta resort, one of the most popular winter-sports destinations in central Italy. The camera frames the lift base, where chairlifts and ski tows carry visitors up the surrounding forested slopes.
What you can see
The view takes in the Euro Ski Center buildings, the turning circle of the access road and the chairlift station that climbs toward the summit. Tall pines and the broad open piste apron give a clear sense of this high Apennine plateau.
A mountain crossroads
At around 1,320 metres, Passo Lanciano is a true mountain gateway between the provinces of Pescara and Chieti. The pass draws skiers and snowboarders in the cold season and hikers and cyclists when the slopes turn green, making it a year-round outdoor hub.
