Audience measurement
To know how many visits GeoWebcams gets and which pages are read, we use Umami, an open-source statistics tool installed on our own servers. The data is shared with nobody and used for nothing but counting the visits to this site. It works whatever you choose in the cookie settings, because it uses no cookies.
For each page you open, its address (search parameters included) and title, the page you came from if any, your screen size and your browser language are sent to this same domain. On the map a few actions are counted too: using a filter, a search (only its length and whether it found something, never the text), choosing a result, and using your location (never the coordinates). From your IP address and the details your browser sends with every request, the server works out your approximate country, region and city, your browser, operating system and type of device, and computes a visit identifier that changes every month. Your IP address is not stored, and that identifier cannot recognise you from one month to the next or follow you to other websites.
No cookies are used and nothing is stored on your device. The script only checks whether your browser holds the flag that switches the measurement off (umami.disabled), which this site never creates. If your browser sends the Do Not Track signal, the visit is not recorded. This meets the conditions the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) sets for audience measurement to need no consent.
Visit data is kept for twenty-five months at most. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding the use of our own website (art. 6.1.f GDPR). You may object to this processing by writing to privacy@geowebcams.com.

- Advertising Partners: Your primary control is our own preferences panel, reachable from the “Manage cookies” link in the footer, which governs analytics, preferences and advertising. When advertising is enabled in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, consent for personalised advertising is additionally collected and shared with our advertising partners through Google's certified Consent Management Platform under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2.2), which lists the full set of partners. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
If your browser or extension sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we honour it automatically: every optional category is switched off, and nothing is set by default even in regions where it otherwise would be. We check the signal both in your browser and on our servers, so it applies even if scripts are blocked. Honouring GPC is a legal requirement in a number of US states, not a courtesy.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or significantly affects you. Any automated processing we perform is limited to technical operations necessary for website functionality. You have the right to request human intervention in any automated processing.
Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for children under 14 years of age (the age of digital consent in Spain under LOPDGDD). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete such information.
