Rising to over 4,200 feet, Sugarloaf is among the tallest mountains in Maine and a cornerstone of New England alpine terrain, offering an expansive vertical drop and sweeping forested vistas in every direction.

Chairlift and Forest Surroundings

The chairlift towers marching up beside the trail carry skiers and sightseers toward the upper ridge, while the surrounding spruce, fir and birch woodland wraps the slope in a green, changing frame through the seasons.
