A Panorama Over the Bay
This feed offers a broad establishing view across the sheltered bay and scattered skerries that surround the Baron Blue eyrie, with the eagle nest framed in the foreground and open water reaching toward the horizon.
Baron Blue and His Mate
The territory belongs to the resident white-tailed eagle known as Baron Blue, followed for many seasons alongside his mate as they court, incubate and raise their eaglets. The species is Europe's largest bird of prey, with a wingspan that can exceed two metres.
The Island of Smøla
Smøla is a low, sea-swept archipelago off the coast of Møre og Romsdal, a mosaic of heather moorland, shallow lakes and countless granite islets. Its fish-rich inlets support nowhere a higher density of sea eagles on Earth.
What You Can See
Watch for eagles soaring over the water, arriving with fish and prey, and resting along the rocky shore, while gulls and waders work the tidal margins of this remote Norwegian coast.
