Everything you need to know about this live stream
A North Coast Landmark
Baisha Bay forms a wide crescent of pale, fine sand tucked between rocky headlands on Taiwan's northern shoreline, within the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area. Its Chinese name, meaning "White Sand Bay", describes the beach's signature pale grains, a rarity along a coast otherwise dominated by dark volcanic rock.
A Favorite for Swimming and Wind Sports
The bay's gently sloping seabed and steady coastal breeze have made it one of northern Taiwan's most popular public bathing beaches, as well as a long-standing training ground for windsurfers and kitesurfers. Lifeguard stations and a boardwalk line the shore, welcoming visitors escaping the nearby capital.
Framed by Coast and Hills
Behind the beach, low green hills of the Shimen coastline rise toward the interior, while the coastal highway threads along the water's edge, linking Baisha Bay to neighboring fishing villages and scenic capes further along the shore.
