Upstairs Cam at the Raccoon Saloon
OnlineThis landing camera watches the staircase connecting the farmhouse's ground floor to the upstairs bedrooms of the Raccoon Saloon. Worn wooden banisters and scattered leaf litter mark the well-traveled crossing point the resident raccoons use as they move between rooms throughout the house.

Everything you need to know about this live stream
An Unlikely Wildlife Refuge
The Raccoon Saloon started out as a modest hunting camp in rural Maine, visited only a handful of times a year by out-of-state hunters. As the owners aged and visits tapered off, the farmhouse was left quietly abandoned โ and a family of wild raccoons moved in, adopting the empty rooms as their own.
The Crossroads of the House
This camera looks down a narrow staircase and upper landing, the main route between the farmhouse's living areas below and the bedroom hallway above. Aged banister posts, bare floorboards, and drifts of dry leaves give the passage its weathered, long-abandoned character.
A Busy Passage Between Rooms
From this landing, the hallway leads to "Bedroom 1," the "Playroom," and two more bedrooms further down โ so this view frequently catches raccoons pausing, climbing, or dashing between the rooms as they explore the house.
Part of a Larger Network
The staircase view is just one of many fixed cameras placed around the Raccoon Saloon grounds, each watching a different room or corner of the property. Together they let viewers follow the resident raccoons as they explore, forage, and settle into their unusual rural home.
