Reforestation Camp Ski Trail in Suamico
OnlineThis live webcam watches the ski trailhead beside the lodge at the Brown County Reforestation Camp in Suamico, just north of Green Bay. A broad clearing where the groomed cross-country loops set off gives way to a dense wall of pine and hardwood forest, with a gravel lane, a row of boulders and a lamp post marking the start of the trail network.

What the camera shows
The view takes in the open staging area where the Reforestation Camp ski trails begin: a grassy apron, a gravel lane curving off between the trees, a line of boulders and a single lamp post at the forest edge. Brown County Parks runs the camera so skiers, hikers and riders can check ground and trail conditions before setting out.
Cross-country skiing at the camp
The camp is one of the best-known Nordic venues in northeastern Wisconsin. In winter its network is groomed for both classic and skate skiing, with a lit loop for skiing beyond daylight hours, and the Ski Lodge next to the trailhead serves as the warming shelter and meeting point.
A forest for every season
Away from the snow months, the same trails carry hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders through more than 1,400 acres of pine plantation and mixed hardwoods dotted with small ponds. The NEW Zoo sits inside the property, making the camp a year-round family destination.
Why it is called the Reforestation Camp
The name recalls the county replanting effort that turned cut-over, fire-scarred land back into woodland, row after row of planted pine. Those plantations have since matured into the tall, shaded forest that now frames the trailhead.
