Ramat Hanadiv Lesser Kestrel Cam
OnlineA nest-box camera trained on a breeding pair of lesser kestrels (Falco naumanni) at Ramat Hanadiv, a renowned nature park and memorial garden in northern Israel. Watch the small falcons tend their eggs and chicks on a bed of pebbles and down, with a second angle revealing an adult perched against the rolling Mediterranean hillside beyond the nest box.

A Window into a Lesser Kestrel Nest
This dual-view stream offers a close-up look inside an active lesser kestrel (Falco naumanni) nest box. The main view sits within the chamber itself, while an inset frames a perch outside, capturing the comings and goings of the breeding pair against the open hillside.
Ramat Hanadiv Nature Park
The camera is sited at Ramat Hanadiv, a celebrated park and memorial garden on the southern slopes of Mount Carmel near Zikhron Ya'akov. The reserve's Mediterranean woodland and open grassland provide ideal hunting ground for this small, agile falcon.
Restoring a Vulnerable Falcon
Run by the Charter Group of Wildlife Ecology (University of Haifa and the Shamir Research Institute), the project has worked since 2006 to restore lesser kestrels to Israel. Each year dozens of rehabilitated birds are ringed and released, and the nest here is tracked clutch by clutch as part of that ongoing effort.
What You Might See
Expect a parent shading or brooding the clutch, ringed chicks jostling for food, and the gradual growth of the brood from bare hatchlings toward fledging. Activity builds around the adults' hunting forays over the surrounding hills.
