The Powderhorn II Lift Line

This camera looks along the loading corridor of the Powderhorn II chairlift, positioned near the upper entrance to the Roundhouse area of Solitude Mountain Resort. The line guides skiers and riders toward the chair for the ride into the resort's higher terrain.

Solitude Mountain Resort

Solitude is a mid-sized ski area in the Wasatch Range, built around a network of chairlifts linking several bowls and ridgelines above the canyon floor. Powderhorn is one of the lifts serving the resort's more advanced terrain.

Big Cottonwood Canyon

The resort sits within Big Cottonwood Canyon, a steep glacial valley in the Wasatch Mountains southeast of Salt Lake City, where dense conifer forest rises along the slopes surrounding the lift line captured in this fixed frame.
