A Pass Between Two Regions
The Passo dei Due Santi sits on the watershed where Tuscany meets Emilia-Romagna, its boundary marked by a line of border stones visible to the right of the frame. At 1,392 metres, it is a natural gateway across the northern Apennines.
The Zum Zeri Ski Area
Behind the pass square rise the ski slopes and lifts of the Zum Zeri resort, climbing toward the summit of Monte Fabei at 1,584 metres. The area is a beloved base for winter sports and high-mountain walks.
Gateway to the Lunigiana
Anchored beside the Gran Baita Lunigiana refuge, the camera faces west across the open piazzale, offering a constant window onto this remote corner of the province of Massa-Carrara.
