A New Refuge Taking Shape
This camera documents the construction of the Kissinger Hütte 2.0, a mountain refuge being rebuilt on the Feuerberg in Germany's Rhön highlands. Day by day the timber-framed structure, scaffolding and a tall tower crane reshape the summit, offering a rare close-up of a high-altitude building site.
The Rhön Highland Panorama
Beyond the worksite the view opens onto the broad Rhön plateau, where the Dammersfeldkuppe, Wasserkuppe and Heidelstein rise along the skyline. These rounded basalt summits define one of central Germany's most distinctive upland landscapes.
A Living Time-Lapse
The operator archives a frame every fifteen minutes and assembles a monthly time-lapse of the progress. The stream turns a remote mountain-top project into an evolving record of craftsmanship, weather and the changing face of the Rhön.
