The Common Kestrel

The common kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) is a small falcon famous for its hovering hunt over open ground. Breeding pairs return to favoured sites year after year, and this box gives a rare, up-close view of their behaviour from courtship through the rearing of young.

An Urban Conservation Project

Installed by Powiat Legionowski, the box is part of a local effort to support urban-nesting raptors and to bring citizens closer to the wildlife sharing their town. The feed turns a municipal building into a living wildlife observatory.
