The Northernmost Point of Texel

This camera looks out from Kaap Noord, the remote northern cape of Texel, the largest of the Dutch Wadden Islands. Here the sheltered Wadden Sea and the open North Sea converge over a broad sandy beach at marker post Paal 33.

The lens sweeps across an expansive, unspoiled shoreline backed by rolling dunes and rugged natural scenery. On the horizon lies the neighbouring island of Vlieland, while a nearby lighthouse and the ‘Steiger van Sil’ jetty anchor the view.
