Hula Reserve Wetland Watch
OnlineThis infrared camera keeps watch over a sheltered inlet of the Hula Nature Reserve, where reed-lined banks and overhanging branches frame a quiet wetland channel. Its low-light imaging reveals golden jackals, wild boar, and Egyptian mongoose moving along the water's edge, while roosting cranes and pelicans shelter among the reeds in one of the Middle East's most vital migratory stopovers.

A Second Vantage Point on the Marsh
This infrared camera is the reserve's second fixed viewpoint, angled across a sheltered inlet lined with dense reeds and overhanging branches. Positioned by the Charter Group of Wildlife Ecology in partnership with the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, it covers a distinct stretch of the marsh from the reserve's other feed.
Mammals of the Wetland Edge
The camera's low-light imaging is tuned to reveal movement along the water's edge that daylight cameras miss. Golden jackals, wild boar, and Egyptian mongoose regularly pass through the reeds, drawn by the reserve's abundant fish and amphibian life.
Roosting Ground for Migratory Birds
Beyond the mammals, the sheltered channel is a favored roost for Eurasian cranes and great white pelicans resting along their journey through the Great Rift Valley flyway.
A Protected Remnant of the Historic Hula Swamps
The Hula Nature Reserve preserves a remnant of the historic Hula swamps, drained in the 1950s and later partially restored. It remains one of the Middle East's most important wetlands for wildlife, protected in partnership with Israel's Nature and Parks Authority.
