The Summit of Černá hora

Perched at the top station of the Hofmanky Express, this camera looks out from one of the highest accessible points of the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains). The broad ridge rises above the treeline into rolling alpine meadows, giving an unobstructed sense of elevation and the scale of the surrounding range.

Modern gondola cabins shuttle visitors between the valley and the summit, their cables sweeping diagonally across the frame. The Hofmanky Express is a central artery of the SkiResort Černá hora – Pec, one of the largest mountain resorts in the Czech Republic.

A Year-Round Mountain Resort

Below the station, the broad slope doubles as a ski piste and a destination for hikers, cyclists, and families riding the resort's long summer toboggan run. The cleared corridors and lift infrastructure trace the resort's network across the mountainside.

Views Across the Krkonoše Foothills

On clear conditions the horizon opens onto a seemingly endless lowland fading into the distance, framed by the dark forests that cloak the lower slopes. It is a classic vantage of the Hradec Králové region and the northern Bohemian highlands.
