A Den Rebuilt in the Same Tree

This camera looks inside a custom-built den mounted in the Raccoon Saloon's front tree. An earlier den once occupied the same trunk, but it broke apart and fell during a storm — the resident raccoons that were inside came through unharmed, and the property's owners rebuilt a sturdier home in its place.

A Snug Wooden Chamber

Thick layers of fresh wood shavings line the floor of the enclosed box, giving the space a soft, insulated feel year-round. The close, boxed-in framing puts viewers right inside the den's interior, a vantage few other cameras on the property offer.

A Favorite Resting Spot

One of the Raccoon Saloon's resident raccoons regularly curls up in this bedding to rest, tucked into the corner of the den away from the entrance. The shavings shift and pile as the animal settles in, a small everyday ritual repeated inside the rebuilt shelter.

Part of a Larger Network

This front-tree den view is one of many fixed cameras placed around the Raccoon Saloon grounds, each watching a different room or corner of the property. Together they let viewers follow the resident raccoons as they explore, forage, and settle into their unusual rural home.
