The slopes below the camera belong to the well-known Černá hora ski area above Janské Lázně, a spa town reached by one of the country's oldest cable cars. Timber mountain chalets dot the meadows, a hallmark of the historic boudy (mountain huts) that shelter hikers and skiers across the range.
