The Avalon Boardwalk

Stretching roughly half a mile along the beachfront, the Avalon Boardwalk offers a calmer, more relaxed shore experience than the larger commercial boardwalks of the Jersey coast. Wide ocean views, clean beaches, and rolling dunes define a path made for walking, biking, and easy beach access.

The Historic Fishing Pier

The camera is mounted at the Avalon Fishing Pier at 32nd Street, the site of an iconic early-20th-century pier complex that once held a theater, dance hall, and a long fishing pier reaching nearly 500 feet into the Atlantic. Today the area remains a beloved spot for recreational fishing and ocean sightseeing.

Avalon is known as a quiet, upscale resort whose island extends farther into the Atlantic than its neighbors, earning the nickname "Cooler by a Mile." The boardwalk reflects that character: ocean breezes, bicycles, and family beach traditions rather than loud attractions.
