Aurora Magic over Luosto Fell
OnlinePerched atop Luosto Fell in the boreal wilderness of Pyhä-Luosto, this camera sweeps across an immense sky above endless spruce forest. It is a dedicated Northern Lights camera, pointed at the horizon where the aurora borealis ripples in green and violet, with the fells of Finnish Lapland rolling away below.
About This Webcam
Everything you need to know about this live stream
A dedicated aurora camera in the far north
This feed streams from the summit of Luosto Fell, one of the rounded ancient hills of the Pyhä-Luosto region. The camera exists for a single purpose: to capture the aurora borealis as it dances across one of the darkest, clearest skies in Europe.
Lapland's boreal panorama
Below the horizon stretches a vast carpet of spruce and pine forest, broken by the gentle silhouettes of neighbouring fells. This sub-Arctic landscape is part of a UNESCO Global Geopark, and the view captures its wide, unbroken sense of space.
Watching the Northern Lights
Positioned far from city lights, the camera offers a front-row seat to solar activity painting the sky. When the aurora is active, curtains of green, pink and violet light shimmer above the fell, a spectacle that draws visitors to Finnish Lapland from around the world.
