Everything you need to know about this live stream
The Wadden Sea from Vlieland
This camera overlooks the Wadden Sea, the largest unbroken system of intertidal sand and mud flats in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From Vlieland, one of the West Frisian Islands, the lens captures the ever-shifting boundary between land, shallow water and open sky.
Oost-Vlieland and its Harbour
Set on the sheltered south shore, Oost-Vlieland is the island's only village, reached by ferry from Harlingen. The view takes in the coastal dyke, a caravan park and the modest island harbour where boats come and go across the tidal channels.
A Car-Free Island Retreat
Vlieland is a car-free haven of dunes, beaches and salt marsh, prized by walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers. The wide tidal flats in view are a vital feeding ground for wading birds and seals that thrive across the Dutch Wadden region.
