A Panoramic View of the Sotobo Coast

This live camera looks out over Wada-ura, a stretch of coastline on the Pacific-facing Sotobo side of the Bōsō Peninsula in Minamiboso, Chiba Prefecture. The elevated vantage point captures a sweeping arc of shoreline, from the curling whitewater breaks along the beach to the low wooded hills that frame the bay in the distance.

Along the water's edge, a small coastal community of houses and low-rise buildings traces the curve of the beach, with the open Pacific Ocean filling the horizon. The layered silhouette of headlands stretching eastward gives a sense of the rugged, indented coastline typical of this part of the Bōsō Peninsula.
