Everything you need to know about this live stream
One of the Andes' Premier Ski Domains
Valle Nevado is among the largest and highest ski resorts in South America, set on the western flank of the Andes at roughly 3,000 metres above the city of Santiago. This camera, mounted at the Hotel Puerta del Sol, sweeps across the resort's broad, treeless pistes and the surrounding high-altitude bowls.
Lifts, Pistes and Terrain
The view takes in a network of chairlifts and gondolas climbing toward the upper mountain, linking Valle Nevado to its neighbours El Colorado and La Parva across one of the continent's most extensive lift-served ski areas. Wide intermediate runs and steep off-piste faces drop away beneath the cable cars.
Andean Setting Above Santiago
Beyond the slopes rise the bare, rugged summits of the central Chilean Andes, a stark high-mountain landscape just a couple of hours' drive from the Chilean capital. The resort sits well above the treeline, giving an open panoramic outlook over ridgelines and glacier-carved valleys.
Planning Your Visit
The feed is a useful window for skiers and snowboarders tracking conditions on the slopes, as well as for travellers curious about one of the Southern Hemisphere's marquee alpine resorts. It frames both the on-mountain activity and the grand Andean backdrop that defines Valle Nevado.
