A Landmark Campus Silhouette
Mounted high on a rooftop of the Université de Montréal, this camera frames the distinctive Art Deco tower of the Pavillon Roger-Gaudry, one of the city's best-known architectural landmarks, alongside the long brick wings and ventilation stacks that make up the university's main building.
One of a Four-Camera Network
This wide establishing shot is part of the Faucons UdeM project's four-camera array, which otherwise follows the resident peregrine falcon pair, Tadi and Ziva, at their rooftop nestbox. Here the lens pulls back to place that nest in its full architectural and geographic context.
Toward Mount Royal
Beyond the tower's terracotta rooftops, the frame opens onto the wooded slopes of Mount Royal and the residential blocks of the surrounding Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood, giving a sense of scale for the raptors' hunting range across the city skyline.
A Living Classroom
Run by the Faucons UdeM outreach and monitoring project, this camera connects students, researchers, and nature lovers worldwide to the daily life of a landmark campus that shares its rooftops with a thriving urban raptor family.
