About This Webcam
Everything you need to know about this live stream
A Falcon's Eyrie Above the Campus
Mounted on a high rooftop of the University of Montreal, this camera watches over a peregrine falcon nesting site set among the ventilation stacks and gravel roofs of the campus. The elevated vantage puts viewers eye to eye with one of the fastest birds on Earth, right in the heart of the city.
Resident Peregrines Tadi and Ziva
The nest box is home to a breeding pair, the male Tadi and the female Ziva, who raise their young high above the streets. The steerable PTZ lens tracks the adults and their chicks as they feed, stretch their wings and take their first flights over the rooftops.
The Montreal Skyline Beyond
Past the nesting ledge the frame opens onto a panoramic spread of Montreal — residential neighbourhoods, green boulevards and the distant urban core stretching toward the horizon of Quebec. It is a rare marriage of wild raptor behaviour and a living metropolis.
A Window into Urban Wildlife
Operated by the Faucons UdeM project, this feed is part of a long-running effort to document and protect nesting peregrines in Montreal. It offers a close, respectful look at a species that has reclaimed the towers and cliffs of the modern city.
