Sweden's Most Beautiful Stone Bridge
The Tullbron has spanned the Ätran river in central Falkenberg since 1756. Until 1914 travellers paid a toll to cross it — the origin of its name — and today its weathered arches are celebrated as Sweden's most beautiful stone bridge and one of the region's best-loved landmarks.
The Ätran and the Riverside Promenade
The slow-moving Ätran glides beneath the bridge on its way to the sea, lined by the leafy Doktorspromenaden, a much-loved walking path that follows the water. Anglers prize the river for its salmon and sea trout, making this one of the most scenic stretches of waterfront in the town.
The View from Grand Hotel
This slow-TV vantage looks out from the historic Grand Hotel Falkenberg, opened in 1931 on the riverbank. The elevated angle captures the full sweep of the bridge, the mirror-like river and the rooftops of the old town stretching toward the horizon.
Exploring Falkenberg
Beyond the bridge lies Falkenberg, a charming coastal town on Sweden's west coast known for its cobbled old town, sandy beaches and relaxed riverside atmosphere. The camera offers a constant, contemplative window onto one of the west coast's most photographed views.
