The Tasiilaq Heliport is the principal gateway to the Ammassalik region of East Greenland, an area unreachable by road from the rest of the island. Helicopters shuttle residents, supplies and visitors between the heliport and the nearby Kulusuk Airport, making this small apron one of the most important transport hubs in the entire region.
