The Taiping Suspension Bridge stretches 281 meters across a forested ravine near Taiping Village, making it the longest and highest scenic pedestrian suspension bridge in Taiwan. From this observation platform, visitors can trace its full steel span as it links two ridgelines above the Sanyuan Rainbow Waterfall.

Panoramic Views Over the Chiayi Plains

At roughly 1,000 meters of elevation, the platform commands an expansive outlook that reaches far beyond the bridge itself, sweeping across the terraced hillsides of Meishan Township toward the broad Chiayi lowlands and the distant coastal plain.

The bridge and its lookout sit within the Alishan National Scenic Area, a region famed for its cloud seas, tea plantations, and forest railways. The winding Meishan 36 Bends route below is one of the area's most photographed mountain roads.
