Gateway to Arctic Greenland
Perched on the rocky west coast of Greenland, Sisimiut Airport (IATA: JHS) is the lifeline of Sisimiut, the country's vibrant second-largest town. This live webcam captures the compact runway and apron where regional flights connect remote Arctic communities.
A Dramatic Coastal Setting
Beyond the tarmac stretches an untamed panorama of skerries, open water and the Davis Strait. Rocky islands and a winding fjord frame the scene, while snow-streaked hills roll across the treeless horizon.
Life Above the Arctic Circle
Lying just north of the Arctic Circle, the view reveals the stark beauty of Qeqqata Kommune. Gaze through this real-time window onto one of the most remote airfields in the North Atlantic, where land, sea and sky meet at the edge of the ice.
