OnlineThis live view follows the San River as it winds past the Zasław district of Zagórz, where a low weir and a slender footbridge span the shallow, gravel-bedded current. Popular with anglers and bathers, the clear water and wooded banks make this a tranquil riverside scene at the foot of the Carpathian foothills.
About This Webcam
Everything you need to know about this live stream
The San River at Zagórz
The camera overlooks a broad, shallow stretch of the San, one of the major rivers of south-eastern Poland, as it threads through the Zasław district of Zagórz. A low artificial weir steps the water across the channel, and a narrow footbridge carries walkers from bank to bank.
A river loved by anglers
This is expressly a camera for fishermen: the gravel-bedded riffles and slow pools below the weir hold trout and grayling, and you will often see anglers wading the current or casting from the shore alongside families cooling off in summer.
Carpathian foothill setting
Wooded slopes of the Carpathian Foothills rise on either side, framing the river in dense greenery. The surrounding hills give the valley its sheltered, small-town character, far from the bustle of the city.
Historic Zagórz
The town of Zagórz, in Sanok County, traces its history back to the 13th century and is known for its fortified monastery ruins overlooking the same river valley. The cam offers a quiet window onto everyday life along this storied waterway.
