This camera overlooks the Rio Caí as it threads through the central district of Montenegro, one of the principal river towns of the Vale do Caí. The watercourse has shaped the city's commerce and daily life for generations, and this vantage frames the broad, slow-moving water from a paved riverside platform.

A Downstream Perspective

The lens faces downstream — the local rio abaixo direction — following the flow toward the southwest. Chained railings, mooring posts, and a small boat against the opposite bank give the view a quiet, working-waterfront character that rewards unhurried watching.

Set up as an independent, community-backed project, the feed exists to track the level of the river and offer a steady reference for the neighbourhoods that line the central waterfront. It is part of a small family of cameras watching the Caí from several angles.
