Rendezvous Trailhead
OnlineThe Rendezvous Trailhead marks the entrance to West Yellowstone's celebrated network of meticulously maintained ski and multi-use trails, threading through dense lodgepole pine forest at the edge of the Custer Gallatin National Forest. A trailside kiosk and gravel parking area welcome skiers, hikers, and cyclists onto miles of interconnected paths. Wide-open forest clearings and a rustic timber trailhead building give this gateway its distinctive backcountry character.

Gateway to the Rendezvous Trails
This modest trailhead building and information kiosk sit at the southern edge of West Yellowstone, marking the start of one of the most extensive groomed trail networks in the Northern Rockies. A short gravel access road and open parking area lead skiers and hikers directly onto the trail system.
Forest at the Edge of Yellowstone
The camera looks out over a wide clearing bordered by dense stands of lodgepole pine, part of the vast Custer Gallatin National Forest that surrounds West Yellowstone. The gently rolling terrain and mix of open meadow and timber typify the landscape shared with nearby Yellowstone National Park.
A Trail for Every Season
Built and maintained for Nordic skiing, the Rendezvous network doubles as a popular destination for mountain biking, trail running, and hiking once the snowpack recedes. An on-site kiosk posts trail maps, grooming reports, and self-service passes for visitors setting out on the network.
