A Working Freshwater Marina
This camera overlooks one of Parry Sound's harbour marinas, where dozens of motorboats, fishing craft, and sailboats line the floating docks. The town is a celebrated gateway to the 30,000 Islands of Georgian Bay, and its harbour is the launching point for countless cruising and angling trips across the bay.
The Historic Railway Trestle
Across the channel rises the landmark CPR rail trestle, a long steel bridge that carries the transcontinental line high above the water. It is one of the most recognisable engineering landmarks of Ontario's near-north, and freight trains still rumble across it in full view of the camera.
Georgian Bay & the Canadian Shield
The surrounding shoreline is classic Canadian Shield country โ windswept pines, granite outcrops, and deep, clear freshwater. Parry Sound forms part of a UNESCO-recognised biosphere, and the protected inlet offers some of the calmest boating water on all of Georgian Bay.
A Northern Ontario Town
Beyond the docks lies the small town of Parry Sound, birthplace of hockey legend Bobby Orr and a beloved summer destination. The waterfront blends working boathouses, tour-boat berths, and a steady flow of vessels heading out to explore the islands.
