A Ski Slope in the Parâng Mountains

Perched above Petroșani in the Hunedoara highlands, this webcam captures the wide, open bowl of the Parâng ski domain, where the mountain drops from the ridge down toward the forested slopes of the Jiu Valley.

Chairlift and Terrain

A chairlift line crosses the frame, carrying skiers and hikers from the base station toward the higher pistes. The rolling, largely treeless terrain gives Parâng some of the most reliable conditions in the Southern Carpathians.

One of Romania's Freeride Havens

Parâng is known among Romanian skiers for its off-piste potential, with wide bowls and ridgelines that reward those venturing beyond the marked runs. In the warmer months the same slopes turn green and grassy, popular with hikers exploring the Retezat-Godeanu range.

Overlooking the Jiu Valley

From this vantage point, the camera also frames the Jiu Valley below, where Petroșani and neighboring towns mark the transition from alpine ridge to inhabited valley floor.
