Everything you need to know about this live stream
The Funitel, Gateway to the Mountain
The Funitel is the signature lift of Palisades Tahoe: a twin-cable gondola whose wide cabins climb from the village to the Gold Coast mid-mountain complex. Its base terminal, framed here from above, is the main departure point for skiers and riders heading to the resort's legendary upper terrain.
The Village at Palisades Tahoe
Around the terminal lies The Village at Palisades Tahoe, a pedestrian alpine village of lodges, shops, restaurants and aprรจs-ski terraces at the foot of the mountain. It is the resort's lively base, where lift lines, ski schools and visitors converge throughout the season.
Olympic Valley and Its Olympic Heritage
The resort sits in Olympic Valley, in Placer County, near the northwest shore of Lake Tahoe. Formerly known as Squaw Valley, the valley hosted the 1960 Winter Olympics, and the combined Palisades Tahoe resort, together with Alpine Meadows, now spans around 6,000 acres of skiable terrain.
What You Can See
The camera follows activity at the Funitel base station: the terminal's distinctive roof and entrance, the tall pines and firs around it and the village buildings beside the lift plaza. It offers a useful look at conditions and crowds at the resort's main base before heading up the mountain.
