About This Webcam
Everything you need to know about this live stream
A Living African River
The Olifants River is a tributary of the mighty Limpopo, rising in Mpumalanga and carving its way through the Kruger National Park before reaching Mozambique. This vantage captures one of the few perennial wild rivers filmed continuously in the South African bushveld.
Wildlife at the Water's Edge
The riverbank is a magnet for game. Crocodiles bask on the rocks and hippos wallow in the shallows, while elephant and giraffe are frequently seen grazing and fording the channel. Baboons, waterbuck, bushbuck and impala move through the scene throughout the year.
Birdlife Along the Banks
The reeds and rocky shoreline draw storks, herons and owls foraging along the water. The shifting cast of species makes every view of this untamed stretch distinct.
Near Naledi Game Lodge
Set beside Naledi Game Lodge in the Hoedspruit area of Limpopo, the camera offers an intimate window onto a remote corner of the greater Kruger wilderness, far from any road or settlement.
