Nowers Yard traces its roots to the original Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, making it one of the oldest rail facilities in Oklahoma City. Today the site sits along BNSF's busy Red Rock Subdivision, part of the historic mainline linking Kansas City and Fort Worth.

Heavy, Varied Traffic

The PTZ camera operated by the Oklahoma Model Railroad Association captures a steady procession of manifest, intermodal, unit, and grain trains, with dozens of movements recorded on an average day. Crews frequently perform a crew change here, so long trains often come to a complete stop directly in view.

An Urban Backdrop

Running parallel to the tracks, Interstate 235 carries a constant stream of traffic, while the Oklahoma City skyline rises in the distance beyond the trees. The combination of rail and road activity makes this a lively vantage point for railfans and casual viewers alike.

The feed is maintained by the Oklahoma Model Railroad Association & Museum, a non-profit organization that also operates a large HO-scale model railroad layout open to the public. Donations from viewers help keep the cameras running around the clock.
