The Noordwijk Lighthouse
The Vuurtoren van Noordwijk is the unmistakable centrepiece of this view. The slender white tower, illuminated in soft tones, has guided mariners along the Dutch coast for generations and remains the landmark of the resort town of Noordwijk aan Zee.
The Seaside Boulevard
At the foot of the tower runs the Koningin Wilhelmina Boulevard, the lively seafront promenade lined with hotels, terraces and the palm-lit Vuurtorenplein square where visitors gather to watch the sea.
The North Sea Coast
Behind the boulevard, the wide sandy beach opens onto the vast North Sea. On the horizon, freighters and ferries trace the busy shipping lanes that connect the ports of Rotterdam and Amsterdam to the world.
