This camera looks out over a spring-fed creek winding through a remote stretch of Southwestern Pennsylvania hardwood forest. Tumbled stones, fallen branches and dense streamside cover frame the flowing water, creating the kind of sheltered habitat that native wildlife seeks out for drinking and bathing.

The Natural Bird Bath

Where the current slows over a bed of rocks, the shallows become a natural bird bath. The location is renowned among viewers for its warblers and other woodland songbirds, with squirrels, deer and other mammals also drawn to the cool water and the abundant cover along the banks.

A Remotely Controlled Camera

The feed comes from a high-zoom pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera that operators can steer to follow animals and frame intimate close-ups of the creatures that gather here, streaming in crisp Quad HD with live audio of the rushing stream and birdsong.

A Memorial in the Woods

Set on private, protected land roughly thirty miles east of Pittsburgh, the camera is dedicated to the memory of a beloved community member, funded by family and friends so that this peaceful wild corner can be shared with viewers everywhere.
