A Classic Seaside Destination

Miura Beach is one of the best-loved bathing beaches on the Miura Peninsula, drawing visitors from across the Greater Tokyo area for its broad sands and calm, shallow water. The surrounding town is also known for its summer fireworks and seasonal flower fields.

The Wider Miura Peninsula

Jutting south between Sagami Bay and the entrance to Tokyo Bay, the peninsula is a patchwork of fishing harbours, farmland and rugged coast. The waters offshore are busy with small craft and the occasional larger vessel bound for the ports further north.
