This rooftop webcam sits above Bar La Fronteira in the Moledos area of Madalena do Mar, a parish in the municipality of Ponta do Sol on Madeira's southwest coast. From its elevated vantage point, the camera surveys a sweeping panorama of volcanic cliffs, terraced hillsides, and the open Atlantic horizon.

Terraced Banana Plantations

The slopes below the camera are covered in banana plantations, cultivated on hillside terraces that have shaped this stretch of coastline for generations. Alongside the bananas, growers here also cultivate mangoes and avocados, making Madalena do Mar one of Madeira's most productive agricultural parishes.
