Everything you need to know about this live stream
A Gateway on the English Channel
The Port of Le Havre is one of France's largest seaports, guarding the mouth of the Seine estuary where the river meets the English Channel. The camera frames the harbour entrance, its protective breakwaters channelling vessels of every size between the open sea and the docks.
The MuMa and the Seafront
Rising beside the water is the MuMa – Musée d'art moderne André Malraux, a luminous glass-and-steel landmark holding one of France's finest collections of Impressionist painting. A broad promenade follows the shore, a favourite spot for walkers drawn to its sweeping sea views.
The Breakwater and Beacon
A sturdy stone jetty extends into the water, crowned by a small red-and-white navigation beacon that marks the safe passage into port. Anglers and strollers gather along its length, while seabirds wheel above the swell.
A UNESCO World Heritage City
Rebuilt to the designs of architect Auguste Perret, the centre of Le Havre is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list for its bold reinforced-concrete architecture, making this Norman port a singular blend of industry, art and modern design.
