A Rescued Stork Family

This netted enclosure at the Klekusiowo Wildlife Rehabilitation Center shelters a family of white storks, tall migratory birds recognizable by their long red bills, black-and-white plumage, and the tall stick nests they build on raised platforms.

Life Inside the Aviary

The enclosure's tall mesh canopy gives the storks room to stretch their wings and tend their nest safely, protecting birds that could not otherwise survive unaided in the wild while they recover under the center's care.

Klekusiowo's Mission

The Klekusiowo center, based near Tomaszów Bolesławiecki in southwestern Poland, rehabilitates injured and displaced wild animals, relying almost entirely on public donations to fund veterinary care and habitat upkeep.
