Klekusiowo Sanctuary Pond

A Rescue Centre's Living Pond

This camera overlooks the central pond of the Klekusiowo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, a Polish sanctuary dedicated to caring for injured and orphaned wild animals until they can return to the wild. The water body anchors the centre's bird recovery area, giving convalescing waterfowl room to swim and socialise away from their individual enclosures.

Storks, Geese and Sanctuary Life

Tall nesting platforms rise along the pond's edge for the centre's resident storks, while geese and other waterfowl glide across the open water and gather on the small central island. Fenced enclosures and shelters visible around the perimeter house additional rescued animals as part of the sanctuary's wider grounds.

A Community-Supported Refuge

Klekusiowo operates almost entirely on public donations rather than state funding, relying on supporters to cover the food and veterinary costs of the wild animals in its care. The pond camera offers a direct, ongoing window into that daily rehabilitation work in the Lower Silesian countryside.
