The Sanctuary of the Most Holy Name of Jesus is the parish church run by the Society of Jesus in Łódź. From a fixed vantage above the chancel, the camera keeps watch over the daily rhythm of Mass, prayer and quiet reflection, sharing the life of an active Roman Catholic parish with a worldwide audience.

Neo-Gothic Architecture & Decoration

The frame is dominated by an ornate carved wooden retable rising behind the high altar, set against pale plastered walls and crowned by a small arched aedicule. Matching dark choir stalls, the presider's thrones and a standing ambo line the chancel, while a banded red and teal carpet traces the central axis toward the sanctuary.

The Heart of the Liturgy

At the center stands the free-standing altar table dressed in embroidered white linen, flanked by tall candles and abundant white lily arrangements. The composition draws the eye to the focal point of every celebration, making the camera a window onto Catholic liturgical tradition.
