A Historic Wyoming Guest Ranch
Established in 1953, Heart Six Ranch traces its roots to the old Boggy Bench homestead, a stopping point once used by fur trappers and early travelers crossing the Rocky Mountains. The property sits in Buffalo Valley, a broad glacial basin carved between the Absaroka and Teton ranges.
Along the Buffalo Fork River
The ranch stretches along the banks of the Buffalo Fork, a tributary of the Snake River, with cottonwood groves and open meadow separating the log-built main lodge from the surrounding sagebrush flats.
Gateway to Two National Parks
Buffalo Valley Road links the ranch to Grand Teton National Park a few miles to the west and to the south entrance of Yellowstone National Park beyond Togwotee Pass, placing the lodge at a natural crossroads of the Wyoming high country.
A Working Cabin-and-Corral Layout
Clustered hand-built log cabins, a covered corral, and hitching rails surround the main lodge building, reflecting the ranch's continuing life as a working horseback outfit rather than a purpose-built resort.
