Everything you need to know about this live stream
The Rhine's Grand Loop
The Bopparder Hamm is the river's longest and broadest meander, a sweeping curve where the Rhine almost doubles back on itself. From the Gedeonseck promontory above Boppard, the camera takes in the full arc of water, the passing cargo barges and excursion boats, and the steep slopes that frame the valley.
Vineyards & the Village of Filsen
The sun-facing slopes of the Bopparder Hamm form one of the Middle Rhine's most celebrated terraced vineyards, prized for Riesling. On the opposite bank sits Filsen, known for its well-preserved half-timbered houses.
A UNESCO World Heritage Landscape
This stretch belongs to the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its dramatic river scenery, hilltop castles and centuries of wine culture and tourism. The spa town of Boppard anchors the view with its long riverside promenade.
Boppard & the Surrounding Heights
Beyond the loop the panorama reaches toward Spay, Kamp-Bornhofen and the wooded ridges of the Hunsrรผck, a landscape of river traffic, vineyards and quiet riverside towns characteristic of the region.
