A Protected Pacific Shoreline
The Fushan Fishery Resource Conservation Area sits just 12 km from downtown Taitung along Taiwan's wild East Coast. Established in 2005 to reverse decades of overfishing, the reserve has become a national model for marine-ecosystem recovery, its coral-fringed intertidal flats teeming with life.
Reef, Beach & Tidepools
The camera frames a sweeping cove where rocky reef platforms meet a crescent of pale sand. The exposed intertidal zone reveals hermit crabs, shore crabs and shrimp foraging among the pools โ a favourite scene for visitors walking the ecological boardwalk.
The "Taiwanese Koh Samui"
Backed by lush tropical hills and scattered villas, Fushan's turquoise bay has earned comparisons to Thailand's famous island. It is one of the most popular stops on the Taitung East Coast, drawing snorkellers, photographers and families to its calm, sheltered waters.
