Everything you need to know about this live stream
The Great Migration Gateway
Set near the Tanzanian border at the edge of the Mara Triangle Conservancy, Fig Tree Crossing is a key gateway for wildlife entering the reserve. During the Great Migration, over a million wildebeest alongside vast numbers of Burchell's zebra, Thomson's gazelle and eland push through these banks in their circular journey between the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara.
A Living River of the Maasai Mara
The Mara River threads a permanent ribbon of water across the dry savanna, sustaining hippos, crocodiles and waterbirds along its course. Its steep earthen banks and submerged ledges shape where animals choose to ford the channel, making every crossing a tense, dynamic spectacle.
Open Savanna Wilderness
Beyond the riverbanks stretch the rolling grasslands of the Mara Triangle, scattered with acacia and balanites. This protected corner of Kenya is renowned for its dense concentrations of big cats and plains game, set against some of Africa's most iconic landscapes.
A Window into Wild Kenya
The view captures the raw rhythm of one of the planet's greatest wildlife theatres. Whether herds are massing to cross or the river runs quiet, the scene offers an authentic, unscripted glimpse of the Maasai Mara ecosystem in motion.
