ETSU Bald Eagle Nest Cam

A Window into the Eagles' World

Operated by East Tennessee State University's Department of Biological Sciences, this camera has kept watch over an active bald eagle nest since the project began in 2016. It gives viewers an unobtrusive, continuous look at nesting behavior that would otherwise be impossible to observe from the ground.

Life in the Treetops

The nest sits high above the surrounding forest canopy near Johnson City, Tennessee, where the resident pair returns each year to raise their young. Feeding, nest-building, and fledging all play out on camera for researchers and eagle enthusiasts alike.

A Research and Education Project

Beyond public viewing, the feed supports ongoing scientific study of bald eagle behavior and helps connect students and the wider community with local wildlife conservation efforts.
