Raising Future Service Dogs
This camera looks inside the puppy playroom at ECAD (East Coast Assistance Dogs), a nonprofit dedicated to training highly skilled service dogs for people with disabilities. Litters born on-site spend their earliest weeks here, surrounded by enrichment toys, tunnels, and soft bedding designed to build confidence.
Early Socialization
Structured play sessions introduce each puppy to new textures, sounds, and gentle handling — the foundation of the ECADemy training program. Staff and volunteers rotate toys and obstacles to keep the curious pups engaged and well-adjusted from their very first weeks of life.
From Litter to Life-Changer
Puppies raised in this room will eventually be matched with an individual who needs mobility assistance, retrieving help, or other specialized support. Viewers can follow the same dogs from these wobbly first steps through their journey toward a working partnership.
